Master Kamal is the Founder and the Director of SambalaBhu Yoga. Master Kamal started learning Yoga from his father and other famous Yoga Guru at the age of 5 and has been practicing Yoga since then. He has extensive knowledge of the philosophy of Yoga and has over 17 years of professional Yoga teaching experience in Hong Kong and India. He specializes in teaching Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Meditation, Hatha Yoga, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Yoga.
 
Master Kamal was a Champion in State Yoga Championship of Tamil Nadu Yoga Association and also obtained other various awards in India. Master Kamal holds a MSc in Yoga and PG Diploma Certification from Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu, India. He has also completed RYS Yoga Alliance 200 Hours Teaching Training.
 
Besides Yoga, Master Kamal is an enthusiastic athlete. He loves running, swimming, soccer and silambam. He also holds a MA in English from Madras University in Chennai and a B.Ed. in English from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University in Chennai.

Master Mariappan is the Yoga Instructor of SambalaBhu Yoga. He started learning yoga at the age of 5 and he has over 15 years of experience in teaching Yoga.  He has extensive teaching experiences in various schools, wellness centers and public sectors in India and Hong Kong. He specializes in teaching Hatha Yoga, Power Yoga, Core Strength Yoga, Slim Fit Yoga, Inversion, Yin Yoga and Pranayama Meditation.

 

Master Mariappan obtained various professional qualifications and awards. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Yoga & Naturopathy from Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute University in India, Diploma in Naturopathy & Yoga Science from Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre in India, and Certificate in Yoga Teaching from Pondicherry University.

Priya is the Yoga Instructor of SambalaBhu Yoga. Priya has over 8 years of experience in teaching Yoga.  She has extensive teaching experiences in various schools and wellness centers in India.  She specializes in teaching Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yoga Therapy, and Kids Yoga.

 

Priya obtained numerous achievements in the International and State Level Yoga. She has completed YTT-300 Hours Yoga Alliance Teaching Training. Priya holds M.Sc. Yoga Therapy and P.G Diploma Yoga from Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University in India. She also holds a BSc in Mathematics from Periyar University in Tamil Nadu, India.

Ram started practicing yoga at his young age and started his teaching career in India. He gained extensive teaching experience in Singapore, Thailand, China and Hong Kong.  He has been working in Hong Kong since 2007, in various renowned yoga and fitness centers where students from different ages and background. With his 15 years of working experience in Hong Kong, Ram fully understands the diversified nature of different students. He always patiently understands different aims from each student in practicing yoga and his teaching will be catered to achieve their needs accordingly.

 

Ram completed his yoga teacher training in the world renowned Sivananda Dhanwantari Ashram. He is specialized in teaching Hatha Yoga, Power Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Vinyasa, Core Strength Yoga and Yin Yoga. He will professionally conduct the yoga classes to ensure maximum benefits are achieved for each student. His classes are suitable for all levels, especially for students who are seeking for perfect alignment in their postures, increasing their strengths and boosting self-confidence.

Rekha is the Indian Dance Instructor of SambalaBhu Yoga. Rekha started learning Western and Folk dance at the age of 5 and has begun her dancing journey since then.

 

Rekha attained Bharathanatya Arangetram and Salangai Pooja from Anjali Natyala, a renowned Fine Arts School in Tamil Nadu. Rekha has extensive experiences in teaching different types of dances, such as Indian Classical Dance, Aerobic Dance, Zumba, Western and Folk Dance, in India.

 

Besides dancing, Rekha holds black belt in Karate and achieved State Level Championship in Karate. Rekha holds MA (Political Science) from Madras University Chennai, BA (Political Science) from Presidency College Chennai and B.P.ED (Physical Education) from YMCA College, Chennai.

Melody is the Yoga Instructor of SambalaBhu Yoga. Melody felt in love with yoga since her first yoga lesson back in years back. She believes that yoga can lead everyone towards wellness. In order to share her passion and mindfulness to others, Melody completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Moreover, she keeps learning different techniques to deepen the knowledge on human anatomy and mobility. In teaching, she specializes in Hatha Yoga, Yoga Alignment, Power Yoga and Stretching. Her style is mainly focusing on the correct alignment and guiding her students to learn about their own bodies to achieve healthiness.

Master Ankit is the Yoga Instructor of SambalaBhu Yoga. He has extensive teaching experiences in India and Mainland China. Master Ankit also received authorization and blessing from Sri K Pattabhi Jois Institute Mysore, one of the most reputable schools of Ashtanga Yoga in the world, to teach Ashtanga Yoga after his long practice journey. He specializes in teaching Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (primary and intermediate series), Vinyasa, Yin Yoga. 

 

Master Ankit obtained various professional qualifications. He holds a Master Degree in Yoga from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University and BSc in Science H.N.B. Garhwal University. He has also completed RYS Yoga Alliance 500 Hours Teaching Training.

Faris is the Yoga Instructor of SambalaBhu Yoga.

 

“Through empowering yoga, I aspire to be your wellness coach to improve every day.” Faris began her yoga journey when she was 23, committing to being the most empowered, loving, and balanced version of myself. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, now a mother to two beautiful girls and a wife to a wonderful husband. She has a wild heart that loves to explore and happiest with sand beneath her feet. She has a burning desire to spread her love, dedication, and passion for yoga everywhere she goes.

 

She has an artistic soul and enjoy spending her time creatively learning. Health is her priority and sustainability is her undertaking.
